Shawn, a pixel artist, created Brave Dog's Road, a platformer. It was developed by Shawn as an experiment in coding and the result is excellent. A short playthrough brings back a lot of memories for old-school gamers.

It is easy to download the Brave Dog's Road video game. It's a different story running it. The zip file contains the game. To extract it, you will need Winrar or a Decompressor. The program will prompt you to create a new path in a separate folder. This means that you will need to extract it twice. It will then open the interface where you can choose resolutions.

You will need to close the game completely once the UI appears. Select run as administrator to run the game. If this doesn't work, you might need to modify your firewall settings. It may be easier in older editions of Windows depending on what version you are using.

BDR was created and inspired by Cave Story by Game Maker Studio. Its FPS is very low and the gameplay quality is not as good as it could be. Those looking for a little immersion will be disappointed. Although the game is still in its infancy, it receives regular updates.

The resolutions don’t seem to match the choices on the main menu. You may want to try the lowest setting for the best experience. Another feature to be aware of is intense pixelation. On some devices, lowering the graphics card setting may help. You can also forget all about the storyline, as there is none. It's a dog running around doing virtually nothing.

Brave Dog's Road was built in less than a year. You can see that it's far from perfect. This app needs to be improved before it can be considered a game. Although the creator updates BDR frequently, there is no measurable extension.
