Baidu Antivirus is the most used Chinese search engine. The English version of the program is now available. It retains all of its functions. It offers all the standard security features, including quick scans, web-access protection and download protection.

Baidu offers nothing special, aside from the usual tools like auto-scan or quarantine. It is very easy to use, which is a good thing. The installation is fast and easy, as there's no premium option.

It also has a real time protection mode that protects your internet activities. This should not be an option that can be switched, as an antivirus app would automatically do this.

Baidu can detect malware and protect against common threats, but only on a basic level. It doesn't detect advanced trojans or other ransomware. You'd see a "safe” label if a virus bypasses the app during a scan. This is despite the fact the virus could cause damage to your device.

The behavioural alert is a great feature. It will tell you what the app thinks a certain website or file might do to your computer. You will also see indicators when a file is free from threats.

Baidu is a good choice if you are someone who avoids suspicious sites. Programmes like AVG and Kaspersky can do so much more than this application.
