Aegis for Windows

Aegis is a small app that can block the telemetry, data collection features of Windows 7 and 8. It can also disable Windows 10 updates requests and alter the Windows system settings in order to disable certain data collection functions.

It is important to note that Windows updates can be disabled, but not completely blocked. You will still be notified of any updates available before downloading them and installing them.

Aegis is a great tool. However, it would be nice if it had a more user-friendly interface. This would make it easier for novice users to use the command prompt. To make all changes take effect, Aegis must run with administrative privileges.

Before making any changes to the system configuration, Aegis recommends that you create a backup and a restore point.
