Paid horror game

Colorfiction was responsible for the creation of the ae in horror and adventure genres. You can download the 270MB ZIP file after you have purchased the game. Unity and Adobe Photoshop were used to create the project.

This game involves looking at strange shapes, flashing imagery, and listening to strange music. Similar to Friday Night Funkin, you'll be using keys to move around.

How to play

This simple game requires very little input. The WASD keys allow you to move, the mouse allows you to look around and the escape key lets you go to the main menu. The experience allows you to explore different locations. There are many possible endings. According to the developer, an average session takes around half an hour. Some players may have headaches from the flashing graphics and constant movement of the game.

Game content

Ae is characterized by constant movement, flashing graphics, and scary sounds. You are forced to wander after being left behind on a mountain. You'll encounter strange shapes and hear strange voices while exploring the dark.

You can also experience the five glyphs that represent silence and wade through the river. The developer created the spooky background music using segments of already-known songs that were interrupted or spliced together.

Paratopics was a similar game developed by ArbitraryMetric. It's a horror and adventure game that lasts between 30 and 50 minutes. It's similar to ae but has strange graphics and only three flashing, fast lights.

Julius Palacios developed Promesa which allows you to wander through memories and dreams. It has a visual style that combines pixel graphics and high-definition lighting.

Dark, strange and confusing

Ae is a dark, strange and confusing experience that will not be replicated. Try to beat the average half-hour session before you get a headache that forces you to stop exploring. Hopefully, you won’t feel a headache at the end of the game.
