Adobe Pagemaker still available?

Adobe Systems Incorporated has removed Adobe Pagemaker, according to David Glazier, Adobe Systems VP for marketing communications. Adobe Systems CEO and cofounder Jim Cieslewicz stated that Adobe Pagemaker was part of a series released under the name Symphony in 1985. Cieslewicz explained to Cieslewicz that Adobe Pagemaker was one of a few products that were released as freeware. Adobe Pagemaker was an Adobe product that was part of their attempt to create an open-source application that could run on the Amiga OS. Adobe has previously attempted to create this open-source tool by developing an image viewer called "GC browser", a music player called "AGM Music Player" and a word processor similar in design to Quark.

It is not clear what Adobe Pagemaker was intended to do or if it had any other purpose than to crowd out all of the shareware and freeware programs available on the market. It has been updated many times over the years and still remains one of the most popular desktop publishing applications on the market. Windows support was one of the most significant changes in the product's history. Microsoft released Windows in late 1990's. Since then, it has been one of the most popular operating systems in the world. Many believe that Adobe developed Windows-friendly features for Pagemaker because of Windows's inclusion.

Adobe Pagemaker is a great freeware desktop publishing tool. This product is considered to be one of the most popular freeware desktop publishing apps on the market.
