Compatibility with Adobe Flash Player for Windows Vista
Adobe Flash Player for IE, a software component, runs on Windows. Adobe Systems Inc. developed the program to allow new users to fully utilize Adobe's multimedia development tools. Adobe Flash software has been the monopoly since its debut on the market in 1998. All Windows machines have the legendary Adobe Flash installation. Because of this dependence on Adobe, every Windows-based computer must have at least one copy Flash installed. It is no longer sufficient to have Flash installed and running. Even the most basic Flash features are constantly being improved and new Flash-related technologies like ActionScript are regularly released.
Adobe Flash Player for IE is now available. It emulates the desktop version Adobe Flash and can be used in the internet browser. Although it is not true that all Adobe Flash Player for IE versions are identical, it is nearly universally compatible across most Windows operating systems. The Adobe Flash Player for IE doesn't have the same features as the full version program, and it is less reliable than its desktop counterpart.
There are two ways to get Adobe Flash Player for IE working on your system. If you have Windows Vista, the most current version of Windows, you will be able to run the program using the standard Windows installation process. This setup should not cause any compatibility issues with Adobe Flash Players. Some features of Adobe Flash Player may not be accessible or changed by default for users who are using an older version of Windows such as Windows ME and XP. These older versions of Windows will need to be modified to work with the Adobe Flash Player. Flash Players XP can be downloaded and installed to allow older operating systems to run the latest flash player version without compatibility issues.
