Microsoft ActiveSync offers a great synchronization experience for XP-based computers and Microsoft Outlook straight out of the box. ActiveSync acts as a gateway between your Windows Mobile-based PC and your Windows Mobile-based smartphone. It allows you to transfer Outlook information, Office documents, photos, music, videos, and other applications from your desktop to your phone.

ActiveSync can sync with a desktop computer and can also sync with Microsoft Exchange Server. This allows you to keep your e mail, calendar data, notes, and contact information up-to-date wirelessly even if you are not at your PC.
