How to make a bootable USB drive for Windows Vista or Windows 7
First, make sure Windows Vista 7 or Vista is running on your computer before you can create a bootable USB external hard drive. Next, connect the external data drive to your computer via either the USB port on the side, or a FireWire connection. Before you start, insert the USB port into your USB port. Backup any data on the USB device. This will allow you to restore any data that was lost or damaged during formatting or reinstalling Windows.
If your Windows machine doesn't have too many problems, you might be able to use the Windows CD-ROM provided with your computer. Many prefer to use the Microsoft Windows installer over the bootable usb drive. It's simpler to use and doesn’t require inserting or copying any discs. These USB flash drives are very useful because they allow you to install Windows easily. You can also download and install the operating systems from them via the built-in windows installer.
Many prefer to use Windows DVD-ROM to install Windows. If your windows computer is not capable of running the DVD-ROM, you may use the included bootable usb drive. You can simply load the drive, switch between windows, and then follow the prompts to install your operating system. Most likely, your computer is not able to boot. You can download your drivers from the manufacturer's site.
