How to clean lcd screen

LCD screens are the most commonly owned commodity by people, you can see them in laptops, I Pods, and high definition TVs. It is good to own an LCD screen, at the same time taking care of them is a must. Usually these screens tend to catch dust and grime quite easily; you will see smudges and dust particles on it at random. So how to take care of the screen and keep it clean.

The mistake what most of us do is that we either take a paper napkin or a towel and start wiping the screen, but that is a big mistake as it might cause permanent damage to the screen. LCD screens are made of soft film and are very delicate and can get scratched easily, so prevent using paper towels and chemical solutions to clean it. Keep your screen in good condition by cleaning it the proper way that will save you a lot of trouble.
Step 2
First of all, make sure the device is shut down and the power if off. For places where the dirt has collected most, dampen a soft cloth with the cleaning solution and wipe the LCD screen with gentle pressure, in a circular motion.
Step 3
The solution can be made out of 50% distilled water and 50% isopropyl which has alcohol content. Use a soft cloth to apply it. Do not use a dish cloth at all, that will leave permanent marks on the screen.
Step 4
Since the screen is made out of film and is delicate, don’t rub too hard. And don’t use your fingertips to touch the screen. After wiping, let the solution dry then switch on the device. A cleaner screen gives better viewing. Check the manual for instructions of cleaning your LCD screen.

In fact, you can buy a commercial kit which is not very expensive, it will include all the accessories you need to clean the LCD screen. Using a Micro fiber cloth is good as it easily picks up dust particles and removes smudges.
Step 6
You can also use compressed air to remove dust from the corners which are unreachable by the cloth. If there are some rigid marks which can’t be removed by the cleaning solution, you can buy a stronger one.
