How to burn bootable cd

Bootable CDs are most commonly used now and there are various programs you can use to burn them.

Step 1
You can burn a bootable CD with Nero, for that you have to launch Nero. First click on start, then programs, ahead Nero, now select the Nero Burning Rom.
Step 2
When the Nero Wizard opens, then close the wizard by using the Close Wizard button. A new compilation window will come up where you will be able to see a list of CD types that is in the left side of the window.

Now select the CD ROM icon and click the button 'ISO' to configure your data files. If the CD is being created to be used on Windows 95/98/2000/XP, then use the settings given below for good results. When you are over with making the changes, then click on NEW.

Now drag and drop your data files to the ISO window from the file browser window. Choose the button which says 'Recorder' that is the icon on the left side in the list.Now the option, 'Choose Recorder' window will open up, you press on the 'Image Recorder' and click OK.

The window of the 'Choose Recorder' will open, select the Image Recorder and click on OK. Now click on the 'Write CD' button, which is on the left hand side or you can use the toolbar, click on the File and write CD.

After checking write properties, then click on the 'Write' button.

Nero will ask you to give a name to the image. Select the path where you want to store it, such as select My Documents to store this file. Give a name to the image, such as Data 1CD and then click on the 'Save' button.
Step 8
Imaging process will start by Nero. To navigate through folders and drive letters, click on the drop down menu and select the folder or drive in which you wish to store the image file in.
Step 9
Note which directory it is being saved in for future use. Another window will pop up which will show that the burning process was a success and is completed. Now to proceed, click on the OK button.
Step 10
To close the compilation window, click on 'Discard'.

Another option: all you need is a CD Burner, Roxio Easy CD Creator, a Floppy Drive and a blank CD Rom. Get everything together.

Insert the blank CD in your drivePlace the bootable floppy diskette in drive A

Now you can start the Easy CD CreatorGo to select 'File', then New CD Project, then Bootable CD.

Make a selection of the CD bootable typeThen last of all, select OK.
